Short answer

A music license is written permission to use music in a specific way: which track, which medium, which territory, for how long and at what fee.

A music license is written permission to use music in a specific way. It states which track it covers, for which medium, in which territory, for how long and at what fee. Without a license, you risk claims or having your content taken down. For commercials, this usually involves a sync license and a master license. We negotiate and put everything in writing.
