Audio post-productie en sound design

What is the difference between audio production and audio post-production?

Short answer

Audio production is creating new sound. Audio post-production is editing and finishing sound for existing picture or material.

Audio production is creating new sound: recording voices, composing music or recording a podcast. Audio post-production is editing and finishing sound for existing picture or material: cleaning up, adding sound design, syncing and mixing. In practice, the two overlap. For a TV commercial, we record the voice-over (production) and mix it with music and effects under the picture (post-production). See our services.
