Dolby Atmos is a specific format and technology from Dolby. Spatial audio is a broader term for all forms of three-dimensional sound.

Dolby Atmos is a specific format and technology from Dolby. Spatial audio is a broader term for all forms of three-dimensional sound. On Apple Music and AirPods, spatial audio is usually Dolby Atmos content rendered for headphones. So every Atmos mix is spatial audio, but not all spatial audio is Dolby Atmos.
